Every Wednesday, we gather not just to mark a day on the calendar, but to dedicate a tradition that carries meaning, unity and solidarity. Red Shirt Wednesday is more than a symbol; it is a statement of who we are and what we stand for. Red is the color of strength, courage and passion. It reminds us of the energy we bring to our work, the resilience we show in challenges and the compassion we extend to one another. So today, as we dedicate Red Shirt Wednesday, let us remember every shirt is a voice, a call and every Wednesday is an opportunity to stand together. May this tradition remind us that unity and solidarity are not built in grand gestures alone, but in the simple, consistent choices we make—week after week. Submitted by Sara Noonan, U.A.W. $2,381.69 was raised for Mary Lee Tucker Clothe-A-Child collection this year. Thanks to all who volunteered for the collection and to all of our generous members who donated.
Each year, UAW Local 2000, along with volunteers and donors, does a Thanksgiving dinner distribution for those less fortunate in our community. This year, over 100 families will be fed thanks to YOUR generosity! We appreciate all the donations and all of the people who stepped up to help this year. Happy Thanksgiving to all!!
