SHUTDOWN WEEKS: The
2015 vacation shutdown period is the weeks of June 29th
and July 6th.
SCHEDULE DURING VACATION SHUTDOWN:
The union hall will be open Monday through Thursday
of the first week (June
through July 3rd
- closed Friday for the July 4th
and Monday through Friday of the second week (July
through July 10th)
during normal business hours, 8:30 AM – 12:00 PM (noon) and 1:00 PM
– 5:00 PM.
BENEFITS OFFICE SCHEDULE DURING VACATION SHUTDOWN: The
benefits office at the plant will be closed during the first week of
shutdown but open Monday through Thursday during regular office hours
the second week.
HUMAN RESOURCES SCHEDULE DURING VACATION SHUTDOWN: Human
Resources will be open both weeks Monday through Thursday, 9:00 AM to
FORD SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM: College
students who are dependent children of full-time active employees and
classified undergraduate sophomores for the fall 2015 term (as
determined by their post-secondary institution) may be eligible for a
one-time $1500 scholarship. Applications
can be picked up at the union hall or printed at uawlocal2000.org and
must be postmarked
by July 15th.

Theodore Wilson Jr.,

won the drawing to golf in the Richard T. Gosser scholarship
Invitational on Sunday,
at the Thunderbird Hills Golf Club in Huron, Ohio. Congratulations

County Labor Agency Harrell/Hatcher Memorial GOLF Classic:
One foursome is needed
from our membership to golf in the 21st
Annual Harrell/Hatcher Memorial Classic on Saturday,
at the Bob-O-Link Golf Course, 4141 Center Road (SR 83) in Avon,
Ohio. The entry fee for
the outing is prepaid.
Those interested must bring a list of their team members (including
team members’ addresses and phone numbers)
to the union hall now through Friday,
during normal business hours (8:30
AM to 12:00 PM (noon) and 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM). A random drawing will
be held on Wednesday,
at the union hall for
the team to represent Local 2000. Lost
time or expenses will not be paid for attending.

2000 PICNIC AT CEDAR POINT & SOAK CITY is Sunday, August 9th.
Tickets are $26 each
for ages 3+ (under 3 does not need admission or meal ticket). The
picnic will be at Point Pavilion between 11:30 AM – 1:30 PM and
Bingo from 1:30 PM – 3:00 PM. All you can eat meal tickets for
adults and seniors are $18 each and meal tickets for kids 10 years
old and under are $13. Drink wristbands are $8 each and parking is
$12 per vehicle. Tickets
will be sold at Ohio Assembly Plant on Tuesday,

MEMBERSHIP AND VOITH UNIT MEETINGS: Due
to Executive Board action, the Voith Unit and General Membership
Meetings in July and August are cancelled. The next General
Membership Meeting is
Sunday, September 13th

next Voith Unit Meeting is at the same location on the same date and
begins at 1:00 PM.
