TENTATIVE OVERTIME WORK SCHEDULE: As a result of the increased volume related to the P-558 demand, there is an abundance of overtime through the end of the year. The overtime schedule below will allow you to plan through August. Chairperson Herb Bennett will communicate the remainder of the overtime schedule in order to give advance notice of any updates. Fridays: June 1st, 8th & 15th, July 20th, August 10th, 17th, 24th and 31st. Saturdays: June 2nd & 16th, August 11th & 18th.

OHAP $1,500.00 INFLATION BONUS LUMP SUM PAYMENT: Eligible employees will receive the $1,500.00 Inflation Bonus Lump Sum Payment on Friday, June 8th. Full time hourly employees on active employment rolls are eligible if they acquired seniority as of May 15, 2018. Eligible seniority employees on active roll, personal or medical leave of absence, FMLA Leave, temporary layoff or short-term military duty on May 15, 2018 will receive the Inflation Bonus. Per the National Contract: Short Term Supplemental (STS) and Temporary Part Time (TPT) members are not eligible for the Inflation Bonus Lump Sum Payment. TESPHE and FIA elections ARE available for this payment.

LOCAL 2000 VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR THE ANNUAL LABOR DAY FAMILY CELEBRATION on Sunday, September 2nd: Volunteers are needed for setting up, working the food line and cleaning up, all on the day of the event. The first 50 volunteers will receive a free commemorative t-shirt. If you are interested in volunteering for this year’s event, please contact Joe at 440.934.3151, extension 2 to sign up and give him your t-shirt size. The deadline for signing up to volunteer and receiving a commemorative t-shirt is Wednesday, June 27th. Please see Linda at the union hall to donate $5 to the event and have your name published in the event program as an individual sponsor. The $5 sponsorships help to fund the festival.

SURVIVAL BACKPACKS FOR THE HOMELESS: The Motorcycle Committee is taking donations through June 10th. Some items needed are toothbrushes, toothpaste, deodorant, combs/brushes, wash cloths, soap, feminine products, etc. Cash donations are also being accepted. Donations can be dropped off at the union hall. Please contact Will at 440.222.8861 or Joe at 222.3557 for further information.

UAW LOCAL 2000 CEDAR POINT PICNIC IS SUNDAY, AUGUST 5TH. Tickets for Cedar Point, the Cedar Point Shores Water Park and a drink wristband are $40 each for ages 3+ and can be used between August 3rd and August 5th. The picnic and bingo will be held at the Lakeside Convention Center between 11:30 AM – 1:00 PM on Sunday, August 5th. A single meal voucher is $14, parking is $12 and drink wristbands are $8 each (these must be purchased at OHAP because they will not be sold at the gate). Tickets will be sold at Ohio Assembly Plant on Thursday, June 14th and Thursday, July 26th from 6:00 AM to 9:00 PM by the main cafeteria and sold at the union hall for one day only on Friday, July 27th from 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM. TEXAS SHOOTOUT SOFTBALL TOURNAMENT: The Recreation Committee’s Texas Shootout Softball Tournament is Saturday, August 25th at Weiss Field in Avon Lake at 8:00 AM. The tournament is for UAW Local 2000 members ONLY and teams must work in the same area unless approved by the Recreation Committee. Please submit a 15 person roster (including t-shirt size) by Wednesday, August 1st. The cost is $5.00 per player. Contact Pedro Natal, Greg Hamilton, Brooke Jesse, Harold Dennison, Scott Heckmann, Josh Mellick or Alvin Davis for further details and to turn in your roster.
