WORKERS MEMORIAL DAY COMMUNITY OBSERVANCES: On Friday, April 26th, President Bill Samples and UAW-CAP President Jim Slone will be speaking at Workers Memorial Day services being held at the two local memorial sites. Services will be held at the old courthouse in Elyria at 11:30 AM and at Lorain City Hall at 4:30 PM in remembrance of those workers who have suffered illness, injury or who have died on the job and to renew the fight for workplace safety. We ask active and retired members to attend either one or both of the events if they are able.

OBSERVANCE AT OHIO ASSEMBLY PLANT: Workers Memorial Day will be observed by two one-minute moments of silence, one at 7:00 AM and one at 7:00 PM. Security will make an announcement over the PA system. Please join with your co-workers in observing the moment of silence to honor our brothers and sisters who have lost their lives due to occupational-related incidents. A Workers Memorial Video is currently being aired on the FCN monitors. Posters advertising the Workers Memorial Day have been posted around the plant. HR/Security will get on each radio channel one hour before the moments of silence as a reminder, and flags will be flown at half-mast.
