THREE TWOSOMES NEEDED TO GOLF IN ohio
assembly 9th annual golf outing: Three twosomes are needed from our membership to golf in
Ohio Assembly’s 9th Annual Golf Outing on Sunday, August 19th
at 12:00 PM at the Grey Hawk Golf Course in Lagrange, Ohio. The entry
fee for the outing is prepaid. Those interested must call or stop by the union
hall to turn their teams in now through Monday, August 13th
during normal business hours (8:30 AM to 12:00 noon and 1:00 to 5:00 PM). We
will need the names, addresses and phone numbers of both members of your team.
A random drawing will be held on Tuesday, August 14th at 4:00 PM at
the union hall for three teams to represent Local 2000. *PLEASE NOTE:
The union will sponsor active and retired UAW Local 2000 members ONLY.
Lost time or expenses will not be paid for
COUNTY ORGANIZED ANNUAL LABOR DAY FAMILY CELEBRATION AND CAR SHOW TO BE HELD
SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 2ND. Please plan on attending at Black
River Landing in Lorain from 12:00 noon to 6:00 PM. There will be live music,
kids’ rides, 50¢ hot dogs, soda, bottled water, chips and more. There will also
be many free giveaways and thousands of dollars in free door prizes. A free
drawing ticket will be given to each adult at the event. The drawing will be held at 5:15 PM and you must be present at the time
of the drawing to win door prizes. The Labor Day Committee is asking attendees of this year’s celebration
to bring a non-perishable food item to the event to help feed the hungry in
Lorain County. The drop off points for food items will be at the ticket sales

INFORMATION: You must file for unemployment online at
http://unemployment.ohio.gov or if you do not have internet access, call your
processing center number, which is listed near the top right side on most of
the correspondence you receive from ODJFS. ODJFS business hours are 8:00
AM – 5:00 PM Monday – Friday, except holidays.
A CREW (DAY SHIFT): You will be laid off for THREE (3) WEEKS using Mass Layoff # 1800364. Your last day worked
will be 08/10/2018 and your return to work date will be 09/03/2018.
You will call to file or file online a total of FOUR (4) times: On Sunday, 08/12/2018,
you will reopen or file an additional claim. On Sunday, 08/19/2018, you will file a claim for week ending 08/18/2018. On Sunday, 08/26/2018, you will file a claim for
week ending 08/25/2018. On Sunday, 09/02/2018,
you will file a claim for week ending 09/01/2018.
Do not wait until the Saturday
following your layoff week to make application for benefits because there is a
chance that you may encounter a technical problem that could force you to file
your application late. If you do not
make application and file your claim correctly and within the ODJFS’s defined
time period, they will not pay your benefit for the layoff week(s).
