UNIT 1 OHAP UNEMPLOYMENT INFORMATION: You must file for unemployment online at http://unemployment.ohio.gov or if you do not have internet access, call 1.877.644.6562. ODJFS business hours are 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Monday – Friday, except holidays. Use MASS LAYOFF # 1600469. Your last day worked will be July 29th and your return to work date will be September 6th.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR TLO REGARDING H PRODUCTION: On Sunday, July 31st, open or restart your claim. On Sunday, August 7th, file a claim for week ending August 6th. On Sunday, August 14th, file a claim for week ending August 13th. On Sunday, August 21st, file a claim for week ending August 20th. On Sunday, August 28th, file a claim for week ending August 27th. On Sunday, September 4th, file a claim for week ending September 3rd. If you go to claim your week and the correct week ending date is not listed, disconnect and call your processing center to file your claim.
Do not wait until the Saturday after your layoff week to make application for benefits because there is a chance that you may encounter a technical problem that could force you to file your application late. If you do not make application and file your claim correctly and within the ODJFS’s defined time period, they will not pay your benefit for the layoff week(s).
WAITING WEEK INFORMATION: Members who will be on layoff status and serving their waiting week will be denied unemployment. You must go to the ODJFS web site and print your unemployment benefit payment documents and take both pages to Labor Relations to sign up for your SUB pay. Signing up for SUB this time will start your auto SUB for one year in the event of future layoff.
UAW LOCAL 2000 PICNIC AT CEDAR POINT & SOAK CITY is Sunday, August 7th. Tickets are $38 and include admission to Cedar Point, Soak City and an unlimited drink wristband. Additional drink wristbands are $8 each and parking is $12 per vehicle. Single meal deal vouchers are $14. Tickets are valid for Sunday, August 7th ONLY. Bingo and door prizes will be at the Convention Center between 11:30 AM – 1:30 PM. The final day for ticket sales will be July 29th from 1:30 – 4:30 PM at the union hall.
LORAIN COUNTY ORGANIZED ANNUAL LABOR DAY FAMILY CELEBRATION AND CAR SHOW TO BE HELD SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 4TH. Please plan on attending at Black River Landing in Lorain from 12:00 noon to 6:00 PM. There will be continuous music, amusement rides, 50¢ hot dogs, soda, bottled water, chips and more. There will also be many free giveaways and thousands of dollars in free door prizes. A free drawing ticket will be given to each adult at the event. The drawing will be held at 5:00 PM and you must be present at the time of the drawing to win door prizes. The Labor Day Committee is asking attendees of this year’s celebration to bring a non-perishable food item to the event to help feed the hungry in Lorain County. The drop off points for food items will be at the ticket sales tents.
UNIT 1 OHAP NEXT PAID HOLIDAY is Labor Day, Monday, September 5th. You must return to work the day following the holiday (Tuesday, September 6th) or have an excused absence to receive your holiday pay. You MUST work your next scheduled day.
VOITH UNIT AND SOURCE PROVIDERS UNIT NEXT PAID HOLIDAY is Labor Day, Monday, September 5th. To be eligible for holiday pay, employees must work their regularly scheduled shift immediately prior to and their regularly scheduled shift following the holiday.
