Weeks Instructions
DO
NOT reopen your claim for additional consecutive weeks. This causes a delay in
processing. Click on the date you wish to file under Weekly Claims (top left
corner of online screen) and answer the questions as appropriate. You will
continue this process as long as the layoff continues, regardless of the return
to work date. You do not need to update your return to work date with
Unemployment. If you are prompted to respond to Work Search questions, please
enter COVID-19 or Government Stay Home Order for the two job locations.
Holiday
Pay & SWW Benefits:
Employees
who are eligible for Holiday pay and SWW benefits will be paid according to
their layoff effective date.
4/10/2020
Holiday:
Layoff effective 3/20/2020 or 3/23/2020 – Employees ARE NOT eligible for Holiday
pay or SWW benefits; employees should claim Unemployment for the week ending
4/11/2020.
Layoff effective 3/30/2020 – Employees are eligible for Holiday pay ONLY, no
SWW benefit; employees should claim Unemployment for week ending 4/11/2020 and include
8 hours of Holiday pay when filing
Layoff effective 4/6/2020 – Employees are eligible for Holiday pay and SWW
benefits; employees should not file Unemployment
4/13/2020
Holiday:
Layoff effective 3/20/2020-3/23/2020 –
Employees ARE NOT eligible for Holiday pay or SWW benefits; employees should
claim Unemployment for the week ending 4/18/2020
Layoff effective 4/6/2020 – Employees
are eligible for Holiday pay and SWW benefits; employees should not file

SUB
Pay:
Employees
who are eligible for SUB pay will receive automatic SUB payments within two
weeks of receiving a payment from Unemployment. Unemployment payments trigger
SUB – you will not receive SUB if you do not receive Unemployment. If it has
been at least two weeks since you received Unemployment and you have not
received a SUB payment for the same pay period, please contact jcarte53@ford.com
and

“TLO EMPLOYEES” WITH A RETURN TO WORK DATE

For
those TLO employees that have a mass layoff number other than the one issued
for the COVID layoff… (2000180) we are communicating with the Company and the
State regarding the transition instructions that will need to take place after
this week. We are still working with all parties regarding a transition plan.
We should have that information soon and will cascade it as soon as possible..

If
you are, an H-Line Chassis employee and you have SUB to process for those that
have run out of UIA benefits… or returning from Medical… please submit
documentation to the e-mail address above.
The
Benefits office is closed this week and next week. The office will re-open on
Monday, April 20, 2020. Contact the NESC for immediate benefits needs.

CONTINUOUS
SERVICE FOR TEMPORARY EMPLOYEE
Upon
the request of the UAW, Ford Motor Company agreed that temporary layoffs (TLOs)
exceeding thirty (30) days or more as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic will
NOT constitute a “break” in continuous service with the Company. Temporary
employees have been coded “S” during these temporary layoffs to protect their
eligibility toward full-time employment. Furthermore, TLO’s will also protect
future raises for all members.
HEALTH
CARE COVERAGE FOR TEMPORARY EMPLOYEES
Healthcare
will continue for temporary employees during the COVID-19 crisis. Furthermore,
healthcare will become effective as scheduled for TLO employees who are newly
hired and reach their 90-day grow-in period during the COVID-19 crisis.
OPTIONAL
LIFE INSURANCE PAYMENTS
Due
to the layoff, members Optional Life Insurance payment for April will not be
deducted from their pay. Members who have optional (OLIP, DLIP, OAIP or OLTD)
premiums normally deducted from their paycheck will receive a bill/invoice in
the mail from Unicare.
600.00
ADDITIONAL UNEMPLOYMENT BENEFIT EFFECTIVE 3/29/20…
The
600.00 Covid-19 Relief bill payment will offset Normal SUB payments. From
3/29/20, you will receive your weekly Unemployment benefit and the 600.00 per
week. Timing for this extra 600.00 is being discussed and a payout date will be
given soon
